Crock Pot Short Ribs Recipe


3 pounds
Beef short ribs
1/2 cup
Soy sauce
1/4 cup
Brown sugar
1/4 cup
1/4 cup
Tomato paste
4 cloves
Garlic, minced
Onion, sliced
1 cup
Beef broth
2 tablespoons
Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon
Dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
2 tablespoons
2 tablespoons


  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, tomato paste, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Place the sliced onion at the bottom of the crock pot.
  3. Add the beef short ribs on top of the onion.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the ribs, making sure they are evenly coated.
  5. Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours, until the meat is tender.
  6. Once the ribs are cooked, remove them from the crock pot and set aside.
  7. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry.
  8. Pour the liquid from the crock pot into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  9. Slowly add the cornstarch slurry to the boiling liquid, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  10. Return the ribs to the crock pot and pour the thickened sauce over them.
  11. Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for an additional 30 minutes.
  12. Serve the short ribs with the sauce and enjoy!
